A specification of FF 50 and FL 30 (Floor Profile Category “Flat Floor”) was specified by the client with a fast-tracked program of three months to complete the project.
The internal factory ground slabs were completed in 13 pours. The Somero SXP Laser Screed was used, due to the high tolerances and large size of each pour, which led to greater labour efficiency in concrete screeding and higher tolerances being achieved. Alongside the SXP, we used the Somero PowerRake to more efficiently move concrete into place. It was then left to our experienced finishing crew to deliver slabs that were well above the client’s specification.
The combined results for the freezer wear slabs were FF 69.06 and FL 51.20. These results put the freezer wear slabs in the “Flat” Floor Profile Category, which meant that the client received the required specification floor. Due to the complicated nature of the machine bases and foundations, and the extremely tight program, we are very proud to have delivered a finished product that was above specification and delivered on time.
