A specification of FF 50 and FL 35 (Floor Profile Category “Flat floor”) with a consistent and highly burnished finish was specified by the client and builder for the retail floor wear slabs. The retail floor wear slabs were completed in 24 pours. Because of the high tolerances that were required, we used the Somero SXP Laser Screed, due to its ability to achieve precision concrete screeding quickly and efficiently. Alongside the SXP, we used the Somero PowerRake to more efficiently move concrete into place. The high skill levels and extensive experience of our finishing crew was critical in delivering a finished product that exceeded the specification and met the requirements for a consistent highly burnished finish.
The combined results for the retail wear slabs were FF 85.12 and FL 78.21. These results put the retail floor wear slabs in the “Very Flat” Floor Profile Category.
